Google appears set to expand its premium smartphone portfolio with the anticipated launch of the Pixel 10 series in August 2025. Multiple leaks suggest that this year’s lineup may feature four smartphones: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a foldable version named Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
According to industry reports, Google is preparing a four-device release, a move consistent with its approach in 2024. The Pixel 10a is expected to launch later in 2026. Information about the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL has already started surfacing through various leaks, revealing key design and hardware expectations.
Footage from what appears to be a promotional shoot for the Pixel 10 has emerged online, shared by X user Mark Teasdale. The visuals suggest that the upcoming phones may retain the design philosophy of the Pixel 9 line. However, at least one new colour — a bright yellow shade described as “limoncello” — could be introduced to visually differentiate the series.
Sources familiar with product development indicate that the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro will feature 6.3-inch AMOLED Actua displays with HDR10+ support and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro XL variant is expected to sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen capable of reaching 2,700 nits peak brightness.
The entire series is rumored to run on Google's upcoming Tensor G5 chipset and offer up to 16GB of RAM. The devices will likely ship with Android 16 and receive seven years of operating system and security patches, according to reports.
During Google I/O 2025, the company showcased new generative AI tools expected to play a key role in the Pixel 10 lineup. The new series will reportedly promote the slogan “Ask more of your phone,” suggesting expanded AI capabilities across voice interactions, camera performance, and system customization.
Android Authority, citing sources within Google, has indicated that the standard Pixel 10 may include a telephoto lens for the first time in a base model. However, this addition might come with reductions in the quality of the primary and ultrawide sensors, aligning the configuration closer to the Pixel 9a.
The Pro models, on the other hand, are expected to retain their current hardware but will benefit from improved imaging algorithms and processing thanks to the new Tensor chip.
Following the company’s historical product release cycle, the Pixel 10 series is anticipated to launch in August 2025. Pricing leaks suggest the base Pixel 10 could start at Rs 83,999. The Pixel 10 Pro may retail at Rs 1,12,999, and the Pro XL could carry a price tag of Rs 1,37,999 — marking a hike of approximately $100 compared to last year’s top-tier variant.
